Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ListCrawler ("ListCrawler," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit our website (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.

1. Who we are

ListCrawler is a content-aggregation service. We crawl, index, and curate personal advertisements that have been publicly posted on third-party websites, and we present links to and summaries of that content in one place. We do not author the underlying advertisements, we do not host user accounts for advertisers, and we do not facilitate transactions between users.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect the minimum information necessary to operate the Site. The categories of information we may collect include:

Information you provide voluntarily

  • Communications. If you email us or submit a request (for example, a content-removal request or DMCA notice), we collect the information you include, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and device data. Our servers automatically record your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring/exit pages, the pages you view, and the date and time of your requests.
  • Usage data. Aggregated, non-identifying statistics about how visitors interact with the Site (for example, which cities or listings are viewed most).
  • Approximate location. We may infer a general geographic region from your IP address to display relevant local listings. We do not collect precise GPS location.
  • Cookie data. See the section on cookies below.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or government identification numbers. Please do not send us sensitive information of this kind.

3. Cookies & tracking technologies

We and our service providers use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, measure traffic, and understand how the Site is used. Cookies we use may include:

  • Strictly necessary cookies that are required for the Site to function.
  • Preference cookies that remember settings such as your selected location.
  • Analytics cookies that help us understand aggregate usage (for example, via privacy-respecting analytics providers).

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. Where required by law, we will request your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its features;
  • Display curated listings relevant to your general location;
  • Monitor and analyze traffic, usage, and trends;
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
  • Respond to your inquiries, content-removal requests, and legal notices;
  • Comply with applicable laws and enforce our Terms of Service.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. With vendors who perform services on our behalf (hosting, content delivery, analytics, security), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal compliance. When required to comply with a law, subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to respond to a lawful request from public authorities.
  • Protection of rights. To enforce our Terms, protect the safety of any person, address fraud or security issues, or protect our legal rights.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. Third-party content and links

The Site aggregates and links to content hosted on third-party websites. When you click through to a third-party site, that site's own privacy policy governs the information it collects. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party website. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

7. Data retention

We retain automatically collected log data for a limited period consistent with security and operational needs, and we retain correspondence for as long as necessary to address your request and to comply with our legal obligations. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

9. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those terms are defined under California law. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. To submit a request, email us at the address in the Contact section; you may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

10. EEA/UK residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the legal bases of our legitimate interests (operating and securing the Site), your consent (for non-essential cookies), and compliance with legal obligations. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

11. Age restriction โ€” 18+ only

This Site is intended solely for adults aged 18 years or older (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us immediately.

12. Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Site does not currently respond to them. We will update this section if that changes.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
